polka dot party!

last weekend, we celebrated lily's 1st birthday with our orlando friends by having a polka dot party.  it was a blast and everyone showed up wearing something with polka dots.  how nice it is to know that so many people love our little lily and would want to celebrate her.

first birthday!

We can't believe how fast the year is gone and how our baby is now a one year old! Lily is an absolute joy. She is walking all over the place now and is quite vocal. We're sure that talking is right around the corner now.

For her birthday, we had a Cincinnati party last weekend and are having an Orlando party this weekend. It was so nice to see family and friends...even if it was for just a short time.  We were sad that not everyone could be there, but we still had a really good time.

playing catch-up

Due to all of the bad stuff that we had to deal with to close out 2007,  I haven't had the chance to update Lily's blog.  It is one of my goals for 2008 to update again on a regular basis.

Anyway, despite all of the craziness, Christmas was a lot of fun.  It was nice to see our families and some of our friends.  We really enjoyed watching Lily try to open up presents.  She is such a joy to have and is getting bigger everyday.

Lily's first birthday is quickly approaching, and we are busy making plans to travel to Cincy for a party, as well as another party here in Orlando.  Check back for pics of those events in February.

Recently, our friends, Betsy and Lydia,  came for a visit with us.  It was our first annual "Girl's Weekend" and it was a blast!  Lily really took to Lydia and it was so much fun to watch the two of them interact.

9 months

9 months ago today lily was born. i can't believe how fast time is ticking by and how much she is doing now. in the past two weeks, lily has learned to go from her tummy to sitting, to crawl and now to pull herself up to a standing position and "walk" while holding onto things. she is a little chatterbox and is an extremely happy little girl.

vero beach

over labor day weekend, the three of us drove out to vero beach for a mini vacation. the hotel was beautiful and overall, it was a pretty relaxing trip. it was our first vacation with just our little family and it was quite memorable. click on the image below to access our pictures.

nana and poppy's house

we have been so lucky to have such wonderful visits with our families this summer. lily and i just returned back to orlando after another trip to cincinnati. it was so very relaxing and enjoyable to spend time with nana and poppy. we even were able to see a lot of uncle paul and great aunt genie, as well as lily seeing her great great grandma from california for the first time!

6 months old!

lily is now 6 months old. we can hardly believe how fast the first half of her first year is flying by. she has such a sweet spirit and is a very happy girl. we are truly lucky to have such a good baby and thank God for her daily.

visit to grandma's house

this past weekend we all flew to cincinnati to visit with tom's family. it was so great to see everyone. we missed lily's uncle john but enjoyed being with auntie jenn and seeing lincoln walking all over the place. it truly was a very relaxing trip for us. when we arrived home we were immediately all hit with a virus which stinks, but all in all it was a wonderful weekend. see below for some pictures of our visit.
